Approach
I work with individuals and couples as an Integrative Counsellor, incorporating CBT and elements of Transactional Analysis & Psychodynamic therapies; specialising in short-term, solution-focussed work, but working longer-term where applicable. I also provide supervision to counsellors, specialising in working with trainees.

Professional Philosophy
In my previous careers, I have worked in the corporate as well as the voluntary sectors, so consider myself to be very professional, with a warm, accepting nature. I specialise in short-term therapy (4-14 sessions) but, where appropriate, work long-term also. Since most of my work is short-term, it is about finding a focussed way of working collaboratively with clients to enable some useful progress.

I believe in tailor-making counselling sessions to individuals, believing each person to be unique. I aim to draw on clients’ resources, enabling them to take control of their lives and become empowered to make changes and continue post-counselling in a positive direction, with insight and tools from our time together. I describe myself as a ‘life-enhancer’, facilitating growth in self-awareness and development, and renewing vision for the future
